Recent developments in compact strip production of Nb-microalloyed steels

CSP plants process niobium-microalloyed steels into prime-quality hot strip with great reliability. Microalloying provides the prerequisites for a precise setting of the demanded microstructure through thermomechanical rolling. This in turn leads to very favourable material properties. High-strength niobium-microalloyed CSP hot strip is suitable for a large variety of applications in mechanical, plant and apparatus engineering as well as in the automotive industry. (AU)
