CBMM and Giaffone racing launch the EXO Nb, a pioneering UTV line designed and build with Niobium technology

Off-road vehicles in ethanol and hybrid versions contain advanced niobium steel in their structure, which ensures strength, lightweight and safety

CBMM | Niobium, the global leader in the production and commercialization of Niobium products, and Giaffone Racing, specialists in the manufacturing of racing cars and motors, has just launched a pioneer UTV (utility terrain vehicle) line manufactured in Brazil with Niobium technology: the EXO Nb family.

The vehicles, which are mostly used in off-road competitions, have a stronger structure and are up to 10% lighter than their competitors thanks to the use of Niobium-containing steel. In addition to reaching higher speed in a shorter time, these UTVs also show gains in efficiency and lower associated costs, resulting from decreased energy consumption and longer life of components.

The partnership started from testing the use of Niobium microalloyed steel in certain vehicles manufactured by Giaffone Racing. The result was impressive, and both companies decided to develop a completely new project.
The partnership involved an intense sharing of technology and knowledge. The application of Niobium products had a significant impact on the improvement of the vehicles’ performance
