Battery experts to gather in Lyon for the 9th International Conference on Niobium-Based Batteries Europe
Now in its ninth edition, the conference brings together representatives from industry and academia to discuss the latest developments in Niobium-based battery technologies. This year’s program will highlight advances in Niobium-based anode materials and Niobium-enhanced cathodes, as well as their potential to support the development of next-generation energy storage solutions.
The conference agenda addresses strategic priorities shaping the battery industry, including solid-state electrolytes, advanced cathode materials, ultra-high-power storage for AI data centers and grid applications, global battery-market trends, cost-effective electrification, heavy-duty mobility and the commercialization of Niobium-based technologies. Confirmed speakers represent leading companies and academic institutions across the value chain, including DENSO, Beijing Easpring, Skeleton, Benchmark Mineral Intelligence, Youngsun Lithium Battery Technology, Echion, IMPACT, Holyvolt, Niobe Energy, The University of Texas at Austin and Columbia University.
As the battery industry continues to evolve, materials innovation is playing an increasingly important role in meeting requirements related to performance, safety, durability, and efficiency. Niobium-based materials are being developed for different battery components and chemistries, with the potential to contribute to faster charging, improved structural stability and longer cycle life.
Attendees can also extend their visit to experience the full Batteries Event, an international gathering for the battery industry.
Organized by Avicenne Energy, the event brings together the entire value chain, from raw material suppliers and cell manufacturers to OEMs, recyclers, researchers and academic institutions.
On November 17 and 18, the Batteries Event will continue with its technical program, including a presentation by Robson de Souza Monteiro, Ph.D., of CBMM, on the role of Niobium in battery cathode materials. CBMM will also showcase Niobium-enhanced technologies for cathode and anode active materials designed to improve safety and performance in intralogistics, mining and data centers. Attendees can visit CBMM at booth B17 in the main hall.
Participation in the Batteries Event requires separate registration through Avicenne Energy’s official platform.
