Niobium in steel castings and forgings

Microalloyed, Niobium-containing steels have found increasing usage in cast steels over the past two decades. Progress is detailed especially in the offshore industry and for applications requiring elevated temperature properties. The paper also discusses the development of Niobium containing steels for forging applications, particularly for automotive components and fasteners. (AU)
